Auto Create Companies from Lookups

You can setup your system so that if a non existent company name is entered in a company lookup field, instead of prompting you that the company does not exist, it will be created.
This setting is available for User Administrators only, and can be found under the Setup, in the Profile Settings screen. It is labeled as “Lookup record creation mode”.

We actually recommend all users to use that setting as it can save you time by auto creating companies as you need them.

When using GMail as your email server

If you are using GMail as your outgoing mail server for an email campaign remember that Google allows only 500 emails to be sent from any given account per day. If your email campaign contains more than 500 subscribers Google will reject any email after the 500th one and you will loose the mailouts for those contacts.

Extended Fields: Relationships between fields

In our last release we introduced the option to create relationships between extended fields of type ‘drop down’.
What that means is that you can now create drop down selectors which show different options deepening on a selection in another drop down. This can allow you to restrict the data your users input into the right context.

Hide blog news from your Home Page

You can turn off the blog news panel from your freeCRM home page by going to the Preferences screen (via the left menu). Click the Page 2 tab, and set the option:
Show CRM news on Home screen to NO. If you do turn the news off, we do recommend that you check this blog weekly to keep yourself updated on the latest freeCRM features and news.
